Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Answers to common questions about our treatments, session length and insurance coverage.

Does acupuncture hurt?

We use sterile, single-use needles that are very fine. Most people feel a slight pinch or localized pressure, sometimes brief numbness around the point. The vast majority of patients find the session relaxing and well tolerated.

How long is a first acupuncture appointment?

For a first visit including consultation and acupuncture, allow about 90 minutes. A follow-up classic acupuncture session is usually 60 minutes.

Are treatments covered by insurance?

Depending on your plan, acupuncture (billed by a licensed OAQ acupuncturist), massage therapy and several natural therapy approaches may be eligible for reimbursement under group or private insurance.

Bring your insurance card to your visit; our team can guide you. Questions? Call (450) 486-6677.

What should I do after a massage?

Drink plenty of water, avoid strenuous activity for a few hours and allow time to rest so you can enjoy the full benefits of the treatment. Mild muscle soreness may occur and usually fades within 24 to 48 hours.

Contact us if you experience unusual or persistent discomfort.

Do you accept SAAQ and CNESST clients?

Yes. We welcome clients referred through SAAQ (Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec) and CNESST (Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail) for acupuncture, massage therapy and authorized complementary care under their file.

Please bring your referral, form or treatment authorization. Our team will assist with steps and billing according to your file requirements.
